Events Manager

Our client, a specialty headwear and accessory merchandise retailer, is looking for an Events Manager to be responsible for ensuring that all of their events and store openings happen on time and to budget.

This role will work closely with all teams to ensure that company events are on brand and on trend with what their communities want.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record working in a successful e-commerce business that maintained significant year over year growth or a significant digital presence driving transactions and conversions, ultimately exceeding key performance indicators.

Must be in NYC or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities: Leadership Help the Head of Creative and Marketing put together the roadmap and implementation plan.

Live the brand values and bring creative energy to the brand and the company.

Always demonstrate humility, empathy and gratitude in all interactions.

Create amazing relationships with all people both internal and external.

Be an outstanding contributor to the team.

Project Management Ensure Monday.com cities timelines, key information and task owners are aligned with the company release calendar and kept updated as changes happen.

Support the project management of new store openings, including any events that are held.

Support the project management of new office openings.

Event Management Manage the planning, execution, budget, timelines, processes etc of all events.

Ensure hyper local approach and strategy is taken in each city.

Build an event plan and SOW to be approved for events.

Budget : Work with Finance to create and get sign off on budgets for each event.

Ensure that budget sign off is done well in advance.

Experience : Work closely with the Creative Director to get the right hyper local community experience for each city.

Product : Work closely with Marketing and Product to come up with the specific city collection to offer at each event.

Is it a drop release or product release and volumes.

Buying : Work closely with Buying to ensure that accurate orders are placed with New Era.

Ensure timelines and task lists are included in Monday.com.

Work closely with social and digital marketing on the hyper local approach for each city.

Event Processes Evaluate and document all current event processes.

Suggest new processes, procedures and templates based on the business requirements.

Create and implement OH&S processes for events.

Set up a business cadence to ensure that teams are well communicated with along the way and the event teams on the day are well briefed.

Create and implement KPIs for events.

Work with Finance and Stephen to report on KPIs / ROI to be presented to the Leadership Team / Directors.

With proven commercial acumen, you will have an intimate knowledge of consumer trends to support the brand and be able to run kick ass events but the discipline to multi-task and ensure that everyone stays to task.

You will have the drive to make shit happen now whilst planning for the “future”.

You will have a natural ability to take teams on the growth journey.

CURIOSITY: Your interest and awareness of what is happening around you in the broader communities in regards to events and turning that into what works for the brand is imperative.

Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the various consumer communities they serve is critical including understanding their hyper local cities and what works in them.

You have the diversity of thought and inspiration and you are an avid collector of all things community, trends and making cities buzz at the brand.

MULTI -TASKING SKILLS: You will be working across multiple cross functional teams, that while very similar all have differing objectives, requirements and timelines.

You are highly motivated and energetic, and you must be able to dedicate sufficient time to each project with the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines, all whilst collaborating with the appropriate cross functional teams.

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS: Working closely with many teams both internal and external, you will possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively deliver the right message ensuring company brand values and image is applied.

You are direct to make sure that there are no miscommunications but do it in a way that is humble and respectful.
