DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Managing Director is a strategic partner to the Executive, offering transformational solutions to enable fast company growth. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision making. Provides a buffer between the executive and the various functions of the company, to solve problems, and manages issues before they are brought to the Executive. The portfolio of this position is extensive and requires thorough involvement with most aspects of the business. The ideal candidate can handle multiple priorities, instill confidence in those around them, and be an excellent leader that can develop his/her teams. We are seeking a self-directed, organized professional who possesses the experience, desire, and capability to lead our field operations including field team leadership, project oversight, and risk management. The Director of Field Operations will oversee the exceptional group of team members and deliver expert guidance and training to support the continued success of the project teams. The Director of Operations contributes their expertise to support project pursuit, project planning, and project start-up efforts, and works closely with key team members to share best practices and ensure each job site is a safe working environment. PRIMARY JOB TASKS: 1) Field Team Leadership Provide expert guidance, coaching, training, and mentoring to all team members to support their continued success and lead the companys training program. Collaborate with the Project Executives and Project Managers, forecast, plan, and manage field manpower needs to ensure projects have full coverage and field staff understands the plan. Define and manage temporary labor strategy to satisfy project labor needs. 2) Project Oversight Participate in project planning and start-up to ensure solid plans exist for logistics and project flow. Visit regularly with each job site to support team members in problem solving, act as a second set of eyes to proactively identify safety issues, anticipate constructibility, schedule issues, and ensure delivering quality projects. Work closely with Managers and project management to ensure effective communication exists between the office and the field to maintain smooth working relationships. 3) Risk Management Work closely with Safety Professionals to ensure that every job site is OSHA compliant and that identified safety issues are rectified in a timely manner. Ensure the appropriate safety training is conducted at each job site and support the field teams in implementing all company procedures and protocols. QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS: This position requires an individual who is self-disciplined, accurate, diligent, and highly detailed in their work. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a keen sense for problem solving and will approach their work methodically, yet quickly. Qualifications/Experience: 1. 7+ years experience in Agriculture, Engineering, or Construction industry is required 2. Demonstrated experience to lead team members for a project is required 3. Proficiency in MS Project, or a similar scheduling software, is required 4. A growth mindset and strong desire to coach and mentor others is required 5. Experience as a field supervisor for building repositioning and/or site work projects is a plus 6. Ambitious, creative problem solver, ability to learn quickly, and strong team skills. 7. Able to work independently with minimal supervision 8. Entrepreneurial mindset seek to build procedures and continuously improve 9. Analytical mindset, eager to collect and analyze data, make changes, iterate 10.
