Embedded Program Manager

In this position, you will work with the Purchaser project lead to define, plan, document method of procedures, implement and manage the installation and commissioning of security systems at multiple sites globally. It is estimated that these resources will program manage between 30 and 60 sites. 

Program Management

  • Establish governance framework to manage program scope, timelines, resources, budget, program health, subcontractor relationships, contracting, risks and risk mitigation measures
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage program and stakeholder communications
  • Implement change management procedures to support processes, policies, and procedures throughout the program
  • Maintain all program documents, processes and forms developed in the program as assigned

Scaling

  • Participate in annual planning/forecasting meetings, as required to help drive development of the physical security system expansion forecast for subsequent 24 to 36 months

Reporting

  • Use project trackers and tools to monitor milestones and develop work breakdown structures
  • Work to develop a program-specific tracking framework for individual projects and overall program health using preferred project tracking tools
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly program reports, as needed, for review and discussion at team meetings
  • Standardize report format with site-specific project updates and to document program health
  • Establish efficient protocol for preparing, reviewing, and distributing daily/weekly/monthly reports

Site Planning and Risk Assessments

  • Identify site or infrastructure concerns that could impact site development, project cost, or timeline, including options to optimize development and minimize risk.
  • Perform site risk assessments under separate scopes that would be needed for Ground Gateway Site developments

Permitting

  • Manage preparation and submittal of permit applications related to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy regulations, and work with regulators, either directly or through Purchaser teams, throughout the approval process as required
  • Conduct permit applicability and permit assessment reviews for each site to identify permitting challenges and options to address these challenges
  • Perform recurring site analysis of systems to ensure compliance with regulations and provide to the Purchaser team as required on a per site basis

Security Engineering

  • Work with Purchaser engineers and subcontractors to develop new security designs in AutoCAD as a template to be used for future sites
  • Obtain approval for each site AutoCAD drawing to verify design requirements per Purchaser’s requirements
  • Design new security solutions for site-specific work to fit size and shape of land for each site
  • Develop a standardized playbook for the installation of physical security equipment

Physical Security Installation Management – New Site

  • Work with Purchaser to select preferred vendors to provide security and hardware integration at each site
  • Prepare security system configuration templates and requirements prior to installation
  • Obtain Purchaser approval on plans prior to installation of security systems
  • Work with the Purchaser’s construction team and security vendor to install security system components, inclusive of perimeter fencing, gates, cameras, badge readers, and panels, based on the security templates and requirements
  • Coordinate construction and hardware integration vendors to provide conduit pathways, junction boxes, power provisions, and integrate hardware at shelters, gates, or poles
  • Execute project closeout activities including turnover to appropriate operations teams

Physical Security Upgrade Projects – Existing Sites

  • Utilize Purchaser and supplier’s global network of qualified security contractors
  • Onboard and manage the contractors during site installations
  • Monitor and inspect the progress and quality of work and inform Purchaser of the installation progress. Relate any failure by the construction or installation teams to comply with plans and specifications while documenting variances and obtain Purchaser’s approval while maintaining schedule
  • As needed, assist in selection of additional consultants or resources as may be needed to properly execute the project

General Terms

  • At Purchaser request, contractor shall support other reasonable requests falling within the project management responsibilities to support on time delivery
