DIRECTV Broadcast Operations is looking for a Rockstar like you, a highly motivated leader with broad expertise in broadcast technologies such as digital broadcast satellite, video streaming, etc. This position will be responsible for championing best practices as well as providing leadership to a team of technical professionals while working in a cross-functional organization.

  • You will lead a team of technical specialists and support them through day-to-day technical operations and influence your team to achieve operational efficiency and improve customer NPS.
  • Support multiple cross-functional technical teams to deliver operational efficiency in a fast-paced and complex operating environment, provide opportunities for continued technical growth and ongoing personal development to your team.
  • Evaluate and recommend Tool/Technology to increase overall team productivity. Developing best practices and creating a learning environment that accelerates time to resolution.
  • Build strategic relationships with key business leaders to ensure program and operational success
  • Lead efforts to identify risks, resolve key project opportunities, and establish appropriate resolution paths
  • Create a collaborative work environment that cultivates the culture of shared understanding, transparency, continuous improvement, automation, innovation, and learning.
  • Exhibit a high tolerance for interruptions while remaining productive and able to provide effective guidance
  • Set clear metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) for individuals and teams and foster individual career growth.

Qualification:

  • 10+ years of experience leading technical teams, maintaining and operating mission-critical video distribution and satellite environments.
  • Bachelors or equivalent specialized degree in electronics, engineering, broadcast technologies
  • Good to have a diverse technical skillset ranging from video compression systems, networking concepts, antenna control/servo systems, RF uplink/downlink equipment, RF and transport test equipment, M&C systems, and video transport monitoring.

Salary Range: 105,000-210,100
