nnThe Senior Manager / Director of Procurement will be responsible for driving strategy and making tactical decisions around the sourcing and purchasing of equipment, supplies, and services across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on role managing the Strategic Sourcing of the Direct Spend for all Ingredients and Packaging.nn nnDescriptionnn nnDevelop and maintain procurement strategy for enterprise spend, linking strategic plans to the company-wide vision and growth planIdentify opportunities and capture significant savings across categories including, but not limited to, direct materials, equipment, indirect spendEstablish clear and measurable goals to ensure sustainable growth and maturity of the procurement functionDevelop supplier relationships to quickly resolve issues, create, and execute a category strategy, and ensure vendor/supplier alignment with the direction of the companyDrive program compliance to optimize fiscal impact and program efficiencyLead the evaluation of suppliers and work to reduce vendor risk by developing scorecards and analyzing vendor performanceManage using the latest procurement trends, benchmarking, and best practices, leveraging external and internal resourcesDevelop clear reporting and tracking tools, reports and analysisBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with team members who manage and execute contracts and who execute procurement processes across the organizationBuild and maintain relationships with the Executive Leadership team keeping them up to date on progress against goals as well as any operational procurement issuesDevelop a supplier sourcing strategy that minimizes risk by dual-sourcing key itemsDevelop and forecast inventory management and supplier capacity managementnn nnThe Successful Applicantnn nnBachelors degree in Business or related field.7+ years of progressive experience focused in Purchasing & Sourcing, with ideally 2-4 recent years within the food manufacturing industrySolid track record meeting substantial material cost reduction targetsStrong interpersonal and team-building skills to manage relationships throughout the organization.Ability to independently manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global team environmentExcellent presentation skills including advanced PowerPoint or google slides skills.Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environmentnn
