Position Summary: The Director of Risk Management will manage the company”s risk functions, including evaluating risk, providing risk oversight and analysis, working with leadership, AEG business units and insurance companies to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor property and casualty risks presented by all business operations. This role will establish, monitor and facilitate the implementation and operation of corporate policies related to risk. Essential Functions: * Analyze insurance and indemnification language in contracts and agreements and negotiate terms & conditions of coverage requirements in conjunction with AEG Legal department. Collaborate with third party vendors/licensees/landlords as required to resolve disputes about coverage requirements. * Compile underwriting data, complete insurance applications, and consolidate information on company risk exposures for marketing and presentation to insurers and brokers. * Manage certificate of insurance and auto ID card process for compliance with third party agreements, leases and other requirements by comparing the certificate against the contract insurance requirements. Position will file certificates of insurance received as well as certificates issued by AEG business units. * Manage placement of insurance for certain sports & entertainment risks by negotiating terms of coverage. This position will gather exposure information to quote, bind and invoice insurance coverages for AEG Studios and LA Kings Hockey amateur sports programs, as * Maintain shared drive and SharePoint claims files for auto, general liability, workers” compensation, property, E&O and employment practices liability claims & underwriting database for department. * Manage general liability and workers” compensation premium audits with our insurance broker and casualty insurer, collecting revenue information from business units and payroll information from Human Resources Information Systems. * Coordinate and collaborate with VP, Risk Management on Property, General Liability, Auto Liability, and Employment Practices Liability claims. This position will perform claims analysis looking for loss trends and causes, to identify opportunities for risk management improvement for the organization. * Conduct insurance and risk management training sessions for business units to create in-depth understanding of the need for insurance and risk transfer from licensees, vendors & * Consult with AEG business unit leaders periodically to review and resolve insurance issues related to company activities, inclusive of new operations under the insurance program and other areas as needed. * Support department head in fulfillment of risk management obligations for the company by participating in underwriting meetings with insurance company personnel, insurance brokers, and company management. * Supports all organizational business operations to effectively manage risk.
