Director,Quality&Risk Management

Quality/Risk Management Director is accountable to the CNO and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive Quality & Risk management program for the facility.

The focus for quality is on proactively identifying and addressing patient and/or quality of care issues, analyzing data, recommending and implementing initiatives and reassessment for effectiveness.

Responsible for assuring facility-wide process improvement program is implemented and demonstrating ongoing improvement.

Responsible for Core Measure & Value Based Purchasing performance.

Process owner for Joint Commission preparation.

Focus for Risk management is ongoing, comprehensive & systematic approach to reducing risk exposure of the organization.

The risk manager accomplishes this by proactively implementing provisions of federal, state, and local statutes, rules & regulations.

This is accomplished by collaboration with all departments, reviewing risk reports, coordination with Corporate Risk, when necessary.

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree preferred in related healthcare field.

Minimum Experience: 3 years Quality Improvement leadership experience; experience leading and directing JCAHO, DHS and other regulatory compliance surveys; strong computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word/Excel and database programs.

Required Certification/Registration: California Registered Nurse License or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ -within 6 months of hire).
