New undisclosed title in call of duty franchise The Director of Mobile product marketing is tasked with bringing a new mobile title to market with an innovative, premier campaign that leads to another record breaking mobile launch for the Call of Duty brand. This highly-visible, impactful leadership role will coordinate efforts of cross functional marketing teams (including partnerships, influencers and PR) along with product, production, engineering and creative teams, to lead community and product marketing to deliver on key beats and develop the go-to-market plan as well as contribute feedback to the product team to insure marketability in feature development.
Responsibilities include: Collaborate across internal marketing teams as well as franchise based teams to derive a cohesive strategy that innovates within the mobile industry and sits well within the overarching franchise initiatives
Build workflows to keep transparency for cross functional as well as team members on track for delivery
Collaborate with product to insure features take into consideration marketability and develop beats based on product development
Work with brand marketing to best position the mobile game at launch relative to the mobile market and the COD universe
Own and develop marketing plan and coordination of materials and resources vital to implement it.
Work with central teams including Business Development, Legal and Licensing to identify, acquire and lead rights and approvals of marketing materials and content
Optimize marketing materials across all channels and provide constructive conceptualization against critical metrics, using data (and using/driving tools, metadata constructs or other initiatives)
Source and test new contractors and vendors on a cadence to stay driven and engaged with market trends
Map out when to apply internal vs. external resources based on understanding individual skills relative to asks
Requirements for success: Passion for games and game marketing
Minimum 8-10+ years of proven experience leading F2P / mobile marketing teams
Highly organized, data driven, analytical approach
Strong understanding of all facets of marketing, including product marketing and brand marketing. Big bonus points for bringing mobile games to market – the bigger, the better
Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in focus
