The Shopping Platform group builds the core technology for our shopping experiences – including our web crawling and ML entity extraction infrastructure, developer tools for annotating our global merchant base, and the operations platform that supports Sales, Customer Experience and Store Integration. As Director of Product for this team, you’ll be working with a stellar team of Product Leads to dramatically scale our platform and make it more robust. Your team’s tasks will include improving the crawler runtime and tools, driving the merchant experience, building developer tools, scaling operational processes and incubating novel approaches to building global product coverage.
Director of Product Management, Shopping Platform

Honey is a Product and Engineering focused company and the Product Management team is at the center of the company’s daily operations. While each Product Manager leads one or more mission teams that consist of engineers, product designers and analysts, the team collectively collaborates on goals, north stars and the company-wide roadmap. This team is critical to Honey’s ability to keep growing our customer and merchant bases. We’re looking for a highly technical, experienced Product Leader who is excited to wade into a greenfield problem and collaborate with the team to define a path for transforming our approach and processes. The right person will need to be adept at collaborating with a variety of teams and stakeholders, and effective in quickly iterating through technical challenges.
What You’ll Do:
As a Director of Product for the Shopping Platform, you will:
- Build, coach, and manage multiple teams of Product Managers, enabling the success and productivity of our shopping platform, which is used by both Honey and PayPal
- Act as Portfolio Owner for our key infrastructure efforts – developing a product strategy for the area, as well as define and manage the portfolio with the leadership team and stakeholders.
- Deeply understand our merchants and their needs, ensuring we are helping them to grow their business.
- Improve and own the efficacy of our operational functions, enabling the organization to hit our growth goals.
- Define and measure key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value.
About You:
- 12+ years of product management experience owning product line strategy, product roadmaps and successfully bringing highly technical products to market.
- Experience with managing and mentoring highly capable managers.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to practice strong ownership, drive change in a large, matrixed organization.
- A love of operations and logistics – our success and growth are built upon the nexus of people and technology.
- Ability to constructively advance opinionated perspectives, well-informed by industry and customer analysis, to all levels of organization.
- Technically-adept, ideally with a Computer Science or Math background.
- Highly data-driven and can quickly formulate the right analytical framework for any user-experience or product/platform health question.
- A natural, deep curiosity that drives you to learn, investigate, and constantly ask “why”.
- Expert communication skills, including the ability to persuade and inspire, a knack for breaking down complex technical concepts, and a proactive attitude towards knowledge sharing.
- Boundless creativity when it comes to generating ideas, but an understanding that execution is what ultimately matters.
- Comfort with ambiguity, and an instinct for moving quickly.
