Director, Originations, CPF

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Director, Originations, CPF is responsible for providing Commercial Real Estate loan origination and client relationship management for CCFG’s Property Finance department. The Director, Originations is responsible for overseeing all loan origination duties of the VP, Originations, CPF.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Generate leads for prospective loan originations. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.2. Approve all new proposal screenings, including overseeing deal screen memo preparation of VP, Originations, CPF and presentation to committee. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.3. Structure complex commercial real estate (CRE) loans for clients. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.4. Prepare and negotiate term sheets. This duty is performed as needed, about 15% of the time.5. Manage the CRE loan pipeline to ensure that all loans complete the process from application to closing. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.6. Oversee closing of CRE loans. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.7. Manage relationships for large/complex clients. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.8. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.9. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed.10. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBroad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 9 to 10 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.CRITICAL THINKING SKILLSAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
