Director of Technology, Go-to-market & Direct-to-consumer

On the Converse Tech team, we seek individuals that have: A solid understanding of our business; an understanding of how we create and move product, and how we serve customers An agile attitude; familiarity with delivery within an agile framework The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Technical literacy; a foundational understanding of critical technology concepts An analytical approach: the ability to acquire, visualize and analyze data to inform decisions; The ability to formulate and test hypothesis Key Responsibilities As the Technology Product Director, Consumer and Marketplace, you will develop, communicate, and influence digital, go to market and retail strategies.

You will also deliver against these plans, in collaboration with Executives and team members across the organization – such as VP of Direct to Consumer.

You will be responsible for all Technology Products supporting our Digital, Retail and Go to Market functions.

As a Technology Product Director, you will partner with many stakeholders to create the roadmaps for the existing and new capabilities needed by Converse, build and develop the team, leverage vendors and other partners to delight consumers with unique and personal experiences and provide strong portfolio/program coordination to deliver our priorities.

This role will partner with leaders at the global level, within each geography, and with Nike Inc.

Successful candidates will have solid e-commerce experience, strong strategy/delivery and agile team development skills.

It is also critical that you can navigate on a matrix structure.

This role will report to the Converse Tech Senior Director and will lead a team of 12 employees, not including vendors.

Additional Details about the Role Provide technology subject matter expertise, industry knowledge and team leadership for Digital, Retail and Go to Market.

Drive alignment of strategies and execution across all technology capabilities in Converse and ensure alignment to Nike Inc architecture strategy.

Coach and develop a leadership bench that can act as the leadership pipeline of future leaders for Converse and Nike and ensure they have full context to create the solutions.

Engage business partners and partners to influence and drive best methodologies and innovative improvements to platforms, systems and operating model.

Create multi-year roadmaps, execute and deliver to them.

Provide strong communication rigor to all functions at the global and geography level.

Effectively manage priorities across multiple products, technical teams, and business partners.

Demonstrate strong meeting and workshop facilitation skills, and conflict resolution.

Assess business impact, prioritize and articulate trade-offs with cross-functional partners.

Drive clarity and continuous improvement to the way Technology operates, bringing efficiencies and improving trust and transparency with our peers, and also improving Employee Engagement and Satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications Develop and communicate vision, priorities and plans with different stakeholders, considering business imperatives, technology must dos and platform evolution.

Use data, systems and facts to problem solve for complex, multiple and changing priorities.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Must be able to interact effectively across functions and cultures.

Build and develop a strong agile team, coaching the group on better ways of working and partnering.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.

Minimum of 12 years’ work experience in a technology related fiel Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in e-commerce.

Past experience managing and developing teams, assigning and tracking performance targets, providing coaching and feedback, facilitating talent discussions
