The Role: Seeking to hire a Director to support our growing team and the agency?s impressive client roster as a key member.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned account manager with excellent strategic planning, management, communication, writing, presentation, leadership and relationship skills.

This role executes client programs, manages team members, develops performance goals, and serves as a primary client relationship manager and resource for senior counsel.

As a primary day-to-day client contact and project manager, the Director will provide support to account team(s) and help lead the execution of media relations initiatives, development of media materials plus client assets and help manage entry-level talent/mid-level staff.

In this role you?ll be a part of the senior leadership team and work alongside the executive leaders across the organization.

The Responsibilities:
· Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, on time
· Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
· Help develop and write strategic memos and client presentations
· Instruct entry-level staff in the areas of media relations and writing/document creation
· Plan and execute media relations programs, events and launch activities; lead media relations efforts and initiatives
· Provide senior-level account planning and supervision for major, key accounts with proven, specialized expertise in public relations; serve as a strategic liaison among clients, account team and agency management
· Maintain relationships with key national/industry media and participate in proactive outreach to generate thought leadership opportunities, feature stories, business profiles for clients
· Lead the planning and execution of media programs and activities
· Serve as a primary, day-to-day, client contact and provide strong client counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans
· Anticipate client needs and prepare in advance
· Interact with senior-level colleagues and clients and troubleshoot clients?

· Display strong team leadership and ensure that the team continues to drive media results for clients, proactively pitching media daily and secure publicity for clients (local, regional, national); continue to generate client thought leadership opportunities; maintain existing relationships with media, journalists and influencers; keep current with journalist specialism/interest
· Help account team work effectively and in the best interest of client; maximize the agency?s network of resources to enhance client services
· Maintain a thorough, demonstrated understanding of clients?

· Showcase a deep knowledge of, and the proven ability to, effectively articulate the full services of IDPR, procedures and business methods
· Report to senior management on progress of team members and accounts; serve as the liaison between senior management and staff
· Contribute to the new business pipeline through research and prospecting; support successful pitches and recognize opportunities for organic client growth
· Manage supervisors and account leads regarding progress on deliverables, media outreach processes and actively offer solutions to pivot where needed or enhance the project Qualifications:
· At least 2-5 years communications experience in public relations and/or journalism
· Previous agency experience required, with 3+ years in a management role developing, evaluating, and retaining strong teams and collaborative cultures
· Ability to provide high level counsel to clients about communications in different aspects including strategy, thought leadership building, media relations as well as issues and crisis management
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Highly creative, mature, well organized with analytical ability
· Proven track record of success in securing feature stories and business profiles for clients and managing client accounts *
· Experience in managing and motivating a team, as well as contributing to overall company development
