Director of Sales

Medline – a market leader in the prevention, intervention, and treatment aspects of Skin Health – has an immediate opening amongst our team of market sales directors. This Skin Health market director role specifically covers the Southwest region of the United States.
Our Skin Health team sells a complete line of advanced skin care products, advanced wound care dressings, and repositioning and offloading aids. We holistically sell this system of products through innovative educational programs, such as Skin Health Solutions. Because of our capabilities and engagement with other clinical and industry thought leaders, we deliver the most robust product portfolio and patient-care solutions to help healthcare providers perform at their very best. The primary call points for this role include IDN/system-level clinical and supply chain leaders, wound care physicians and practitioners, WOC (wound, ostomy, continence) nurses, wound clinic personnel, and all other acute care call points where Skin Health products are used.
You must be people-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, high-level relationships. The position reports directly to the Vice President of National Field Sales for Skin Health.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and nurturing clinical and non-clinical decision-maker relationships within major IDNs/hospital systems
  • Managing tissue regeneration (Corius) sales specialists to achieve quota and IMPACT (bonus)
  • Working with entire Medline sales force to grow sales within targeted accounts
  • Creating and delivering sales presentations to multiple decision-makers
  • Analyzing data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions; use data to find solutions and drive results
  • Maintaining existing business and growing new business with expansive product portfolio and programs
  • Conducting strategy meetings with Skin Health reps and Acute Care managers/reps
  • Working with VP National Field Sales (Skin Health) and product divisions on product/program research and development
  • Attending major conferences and shows to further Medline%26rsquo;s brand in the marketplace

Education

  • Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree or commensurate experience required

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of sales experience, ideally within Skin Health industry sales; successful business-to-business outside sales experience will also be considered
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally
  • Experience presenting to and communicating with various audiences (ex. others with differing language, senior management and non-technical audiences)
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and/or training staff
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Comfortable working in a clinical setting
  • Track record of demonstrable sales growth and goal/quota attainment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency especially in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the time for business purposes, within and out of state
