The role of a Director of Sales:

WeeCare is seeking an experienced B2B sales leader who will play a pivotal role in developing the sales team, implementing the go-to-market strategy, and actively engaging in the sales process. Collaborating closely with SDRs and AEs, you will work cross-functionally with other revenue departments to establish scalable growth strategies. This entails acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, setting team goals, and proactively identifying fresh opportunities for WeeCare. Your primary objective will be to have the sales team prioritize WeeCare’s mission when addressing organizations’ childcare needs to make childcare more affordable and accessible for all.

In this role, you will:

  • Managing: The current sales team has 2 SDRs and 2 AEs. However, you will help find additional mission-driven individuals to join the sales team. As the sales leader for the team, you will foster strong relationships with the team members, build camaraderie in a remote environment and set expectations/goals for each member. We are strong advocates for career growth, and we expect you to come in and be that “player/coach” to help drive revenue.
  • Strategy: You will be responsible for leading your team to execute the go-to-market strategy this year by developing and implementing a sales playbook, managing the sales pipeline, creating sales materials, and tracking and managing results.
  • Goals: Set ambitious but achievable performance sales expectations for the team. Your sales strategy will help you create these goal, ensuring each team member knows how to own their part of the sales process to achieve success. You will measure the sales department’s performance against quarterly/yearly goals.
  • Player/Coach: We are looking for the Director of Sales to own their sales account but also help train and coach the other members of the sales team.
  • Relationship-Building: Build and maintain key relationships with broker & consultant agencies, self-funded employer groups, and strategic partners, and identify new sales opportunities through your own network and referral system coupled with your direct market research.
  • Pipeline: Hubspot will be your centralized CRM for you to manage your individual and team pipelines. Manage the weekly forecasting and pipeline reporting cadence, plus be comfortable and capable of conducting a solid funnel call for each team that you are leading.
  • Market Trends: WeeCare has a few competitors in our industry, and it is important to know what is happening at all levels nationally, state-specific, and sometimes county. We can see how these trends can potentially impact our industry. This way, you are ready to tackle any questions that come your way.
  • Conferences: Participate in industry events and conferences to build relationships and generate any potential business.

What you will bring to this role:

  • 7+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Bonus: If you have previous experience selling a Fringe benefit.
  • 5+ years of managing a sales team.
  • A four-year university degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience using Hubspot or similar CRM systems to manage and analyze sales pipeline data.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience managing a remote team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Smart and systematic follow-up skills to ensure client satisfaction and develop opportunities for growth.
  • Proven success as a self-directed and self-starter in a remote work environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
  • History of building a pipeline of clients and overcoming objections and obstacles that come your way. You don’t take no as a final answer
