Director Of Revenue | Palisociety


This is a Full-time position in Los Angeles, CA posted January 11, 2022.

DIRECTOR OF REVENUE | PALISOCIETY POSITION PROFILE:The Director of Revenue Management will set rate and revenue strategies for Palisociety properties in conjunction with guidance from the VP of Sales & Marketing.

This position is responsible for providing oversight to ensure exceptional financial results for their assigned portfolio and ensure strategies are executed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: REVENUE:Highly experienced with revenue management with a history of strong RevPAR penetration simultaneously at multiple propertiesSelf-driven with an entrepreneur spirit who works autonomously and is face-pacedStrong communication skills with the capability to captivate and engage individuals on presentations, including weekly Revenue Strategy meetings and Quarterly Owners CallsContribute to the financial success of the hotel via participation in monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and sales and marketing plan processThe ability to lead and train a team to work cohesively on optimizing RevPAR penetrationMonitor and analyze the competition, local events, and activities daily to quickly input pricing, inventory, and restriction changes to identify market trends and opportunities.Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments, including internet channels.Work with Sales, Marketing, Food and Beverage, Operations, and Accounting to ensure total revenue gets maximized.Ensure rate parity and strategies are on all OTA sites, property websites, GDS, and other areas where hotel rates will show.Enter daily star data into partner portal; daily, weekly and monthly revenue metrics reportsWork with the property teams to control cancellations, no shows, and early checkouts to maximize revenuesDaily audits of arrivals, no-show, zero rate, changes made, newly created reservations, and cancelation reports to ensure accuracy and find opportunities.Follow and enforce all hotel credit rules through the use of building rate codes and policies, in addition to auditing for problems and educating individuals on processes.Reviewing the travel agent commission’s reports monthlyCommunicating strategies and procedures to other departments as requiredMaintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels in all market segments.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Skills/Knowledge Required: Must possess a positive attitude and be service oriented.Must possess strong hospitality business acumen.Must be able to multi-task.Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and managerial organizational skills.Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.Ability to work in a fast-pace environment.Ability to work with several properties and adapt to their own uniqueness/needs.Ability to prioritize and organize.Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word); ability to adapt to newtechnology and systems.

Technical Skills Knowledge:PMS – Opera, StayNTouch Experience PreferredRMS – Duetto Experience PreferredCRS – Amadeus iHotelier TravelClick and Sabre Synxis Experience PreferredExcel – Advanced User Ability to: Perform job junctions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.Prioritize, organize, and follow up.Be hands-on, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.Follow directions thoroughly.Work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
