Grow your career at the Hilton Checkers Hotel We are currently hiring for a Director of Revenue Management at the Hilton Checkers Hotel. The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for optimizing transient and group room revenue by developing and implementing effective inventory management and pricing strategies. Analyze reports to understand future demand forecast and past trends to translate this information to set/adjust strategies leading to increased market share. In addition this position nurtures and develops the top transient accounts for the hotel.Key Accountabilities: • Complete short and long term forecasts; analyze trends in group inventories & rates to include occupancy, goals, product line and strategic sales goals.• Analyze and monitor marketing channels, key and other account production. Insure that all major channels of distribution ‘ Internet, GDS, CRO, Wholesale ‘ effectively support the hotel and maintain rate parity.• Conduct a weekly Revenue Management Meeting where the current booking period isevaluated for proper rate and availability control.• Update all channels of distribution as needed with rate or inventory restrictions.• Evaluate all group bookings and provide qualified analysis of how each booking will impactoccupancy, average rate and rooms profit over the dates in question.• Establish appropriate goals and benchmarks in order to effectively measure performance.• Monitor and analyze the competition weekly through competitive shops, internet,news reports to identify selling strategies and emerging trends.• Conduct regular visits to existing accounts to discuss production and seek out ways togarner increased market share from the account.• Utilize Hotelligence report to identify new potential accounts for the hotel.• Explore and provide variations in the market mix which would stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.Position may be required to occasionally work flexible hours and weekendsOther responsibilities as assigned by SupervisorResponsibilities are subject to changework remotelyBachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in a related field plus at least 2 years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing and other revenue management functions to include research, planning, market positioning, market segments, internal marketing, distribution channels, sales management, reservations and yield management. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis. ONQ experience required. Individual is high energy individual and a positive attitude is a must. Guest service and team oriented. Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum and social skills. Ability to effectively analyze and use operational, financial, and marketing data to maintain and improve market share/penetration goals. Prefer candidate with:Hotel conference center revenue management experience.Experience with Onq property management systemLocal candidates are preferred.
