The Director of Production Control is responsible for strategy, planning, staffing and oversight of activities related to controlling Microfabricas production process. This includes production capacity and schedule, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
Primary Duties
– Staff, develop, and direct the team responsible for production control
– Define and implement a production control system that replaces the current system used to measure productivity, efficiency, cost, and cost variances
– Utilize new production control system to model production capacity, production schedule and variable cost of goods sold
– Oversee existing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and define roadmap to improve functionality and scalability
– Define procedures and systems to achieve total materials management (raw materials purchasing, inventory control, supply chain vulnerability analysis, shipping and receiving)
– Implement Lean and/or Six Sigma principles to increase efficiency and productivity
– Established and utilize metrics to analyze and improve finished goods inventory, work-in-progress inventory, manufacturing cycle-time, and on-time deliveries
– Ensure achievement of production control goals and performance targets such as on-time deliveries, production capacity and productivity
– Prepare and present periodic reports on production control performance
Preferred Background and Experience
– Four years of leadership experience in production control
– 8 years of production control experience in high-technology manufacturing in a fab environment such as semiconductor, MEMS, Solar, or fine-pitch PCB
– Experience with MES and MRP implementation
– Experience with lean manufacturing and six-sigma principles

– Bachelors degree in technical discipline
