Job Summary:

In this position, you will play a critical role in setting our company’s strategy as we explore new home goods categories and develop innovative products for customers.

You will report to and partner with the Chief Product Officer.

You will have broad exposure throughout the business and work with the Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations organizations.

You will be responsible for the strategic thinking, consumer analyses, and competitive assessments that go into the company’s product roadmap.

What You’ll Do :

  • Develop an intimate understanding of our product philosophy and development approach
  • Create an overarching prioritization framework for the pursuit of new categories and integrate roadmaps from our current categories into overall approach
  • Conduct user research into potential opportunities through consumer surveys, customer interviews, and user focus groups
  • Assess competitive landscape of potential opportunities through primary and secondary research (e.g., product testing, web scraping, expert interviews)
  • Develop financial models to provide relative comparison of opportunities and assist in forecasting of performance
  • Package strategy and its core elements into compelling presentations to be shared with the executive team and board of directors on a regular basis
  • Assist in diligence of potential M&A opportunities

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 6 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or  MBA plus 2 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Ability to think strategically about the big picture and quickly dive into the minutia
  • Ability to structure a problem and develop its solution with relative autonomy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on financial scenario modeling and consumer surveys

Preferred :

  • Experience outside of management consulting at an investment bank, a F500 company, or high-growth start-up
