System1 is looking for a self-motivated individual to lead the Lead Gen Marketing efforts for one of the largest mapping apps in the world: MapQuest.

Our Director of Lead Gen Marketing is responsible for building and executing a strong content marketing program that leverages the history and strength of the MapQuest brand, and evolves that brand to continue to be relevant for enterprise B2B customers today and tomorrow.
Our Director of Lead Gen Marketing runs all social media accounts and is responsible for continuing to cultivate a passionate and devoted base of developers.
This dynamic role is highly collaborative in nature working with the company’s management, sales, and account management teams to identify opportunities to differentiate our offerings in the market and to develop content that helps us stand out.
The successful candidate doesn’t shy away from raising questions and tackling new challenges, while independently managing priorities and work flow to help continuously grow and evolve our customer base.
The Role You Will Have
- You will be responsible for leading all aspects of B2B Lead Generation, including strategy, reporting, analysis, and execution
- Generate compelling insights and engaging marketing content intended to fill the top of our marketing funnel with qualified and interested decision makers
- Define KPIs and implement measurement, analytics, benchmarking, and attribution models for understanding the effectiveness of media spend
- Translate high level business goals into actionable, multi-channel marketing strategies
- Allocate budget to brand building and amplifying initiatives across channels
- Learn and strategically grow a diverse and loyal user community, intentionally strengthening relationships with existing audiences and seeding new ones
- Work closely with sales to develop content and tools that help increase the probability to close deals
– particularly with marquee clients.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years experience ideally in B2B SaaS Enterprise Lead Gen Marketing
- Experience in establishing conversion targets and KPIs and ability to provide recommendations to optimize conversions across several tests simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to manage the creation of content across all forms of digital marketing including the use of video and effective social media
- Experience in driving time-sensitive projects across multiple functional areas in a matrix environment
- Ability to navigate and be successful in a complex matrixed organization with the capacity to work with cross-functional teams
- Executive presence to influence and communicate at all levels within the organization
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Track record of leading high-performing teams that deliver results while having fun
- Clear and compelling written, visual, and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of APIs, SDKs, and other technical products is a plus
- Mapping/navigation expertise is a major plus
