Director of Marketing

E78 Partners, one of the fastest growing financial services providers in the United States, is seeking a marketing rock star to further accelerate our success and growth.

This position will have the opportunity to own marketing wing-to-wing, from strategy through execution.

Reporting to the Executive Managing Director for Marketing and Sales, you’ll build a marketing engine from the ground up using a mix of internal and external resources.

We’re looking for someone who has experience with all aspects of marketing
– including building a 3–5-year marketing strategy, planning and executing events, developing lead nurturing programs, managing agency and channel relationships as well as managing marketing technology stack decisions ( to name a few ).

Responsibilities The Director of Marketing will own all aspects of message and content strategy, lead generation and branding.

Key responsibilities include: Develop an annual marketing plan and oversee execution in support of organizational strategy and objectives to budget and against key KPIs.

Lead account segmentation and targeting efforts to reach ideal customer profiles and increase our success rate for close.

Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with Head of Sales.

Provide leadership in the development of strategic partners, channel partners, affiliations, and referral partnership arrangements.

Build out an acquisition playbook to standardize work associated with E78’s inorganic growth strategy.

Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives.

Build, develop and manage a marketing team and manage agency relationships/work.

Competencies We’re looking for a candidate who has a breadth of experience as you’ll advise on all aspects of marketing and lead a team.

From branding to lead nurturing and paid media to social, you’ll be our expert.

The Director of Marketing is expected to have superb verbal and written communication skills, competent in managing a budget and is decisive in decision making.

We’re looking for a candidate who’s got a bias for action and is data-driven so strategies and tactics continually improve to help marketing and sales with efficiency and effectiveness.

Hours and Travel This is a full-time position.

Hours of work are Monday through Friday; Location can be anywhere in the United States.

Travel will be involved, including off-site meetings at our Austin and Chicago offices.

Plan on as much as 25 percent at times.

Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

10 years of experience in Marketing.

Preferred Education and Experience MBA – with a focus in Marketing Marketing within the finance and accounting industry.

Marketing to private equity and/or portfolio companies.

Marketing for a professional services firm.
