Job Description Reporting to a Senior Managing Director, The Director of Marketing will be based in Los Angeles and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all the company’s marketing strategies and programs.

The Director of Marketing will oversee all of the firm’s branding, marketing communications, lead generation, media, wealth advisor support, events, and public relations through both digital (web/mobile/social channels) and traditional channels.

Consistent with the group’s style, we are looking for our Director of Marketing to embody the same passion, grit, and determination in positioning and growing the marketing effort to lead a culture of innovation.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the marketing strategy for new and existing products and services, including financial, tax and estate planning and investment offerings.

Develop end-to-end omnichannel client experience.

Refine and further develop the firm’s messaging and voice.

Develop and execute all marketing plans and programs including brand development, customer insight and analytics, lead generation campaigns, public relations, digital marketing programs, social media presence, thought leadership white papers, and conferences and events.

Demand Generation and Marketing Analytics Lead all demand-generation activities including campaign development, creative development and messaging, media selection including traditional and digital advertising (paid social, programmatic), and paid and organic search engine programs to continuously drive new targeted leads to the Company’s web and mobile properties.

Enhance client experience and interaction.

Further develop and deliver copy and content, interactive dashboards, as well as expand client experiences and loyalty programs.

Partner with wealth advisory leadership to expand the company’s sales database to provide more and better prospects for the company’s wealth advisors to engage with.

Develop an integrated marketing measurement system using internal CRM and other systems to measure, validate, and optimize ROI across the marketing mix.

Analytics should suggest ways to enhance campaign effectiveness through media and channel attribution, while driving for lower cost per lead and cost per acquisition to maximize impact of each dedicated campaign.

Brand Development and Management Work with senior leadership to develop and refine brand positioning and messaging, distilling the essence of the brand promise for both internal and external stakeholders Manage and maintain website to ensure the design remains fresh and the content continues to drive interest and engagement from various stakeholders, including prospects and current customers, registered investment advisors, custodial banks, and other centers of influence such as CPAs and attorneys.

The website may require several landing pages to focus content and experience to target audience’s interests.

Develop and execute “value gap closure” communications programs for current clients to deepen the customer relationship through content, product usage, retention, and add-on sales.

Work with existing stakeholders and outside agencies and partners to increase profile among targeted media, analyst, prospect, and customer audiences.

Work closely with the wealth advisory leadership and in house creative/design resources to provide the sales teams with tools, materials, and presentations to enable them to achieve their sales objectives.

Team and Department Leadership Guide the day-to-day activities of the current lean marketing team of four, managing and developing them, while also making recommendations on staffing new positions for growth in the future.

Develop and manage the annual operating marketing budget, including agency fees, media spending, and G & A, while keeping a constant eye on marketing effectiveness and making recommendations for changes to marketing spending based on performance.

Ability to look at our client segmentation and support programs for fostering relationships as well as creating strategy to emulates new channels around our core client base.

Professional Experience/Qualifications Minimum of 10 years marketing experience, at least 5 years in a business-to-consumer marketing role.

Prefer experience in financial services.

Demonstrated ability in the development and execution of successful branding and demand generation programs in a B2C environment.

Previous experience supporting a direct sales organization.

Strong integrated omni-channel marketing skills including digital and social media and traditional marketing channels.

WordPress, Pardot, UX and UI experience.

Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal skills.

Bias for pragmatic action and results, both a thinker/planner and a doer willing to roll up his/her sleeves and get the work done.

Experience developing and managing budgets.

Track record of hiring, training, and developing successful marketing personnel.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Education Minimum Education Requirement: 4-year college degree Master’s in Business Administration strongly preferred
