Director of IT Operations California

GENERAL DUTIES:
· Directs and manages Essential Access Health’s information systems and computer/electronic communications systems
· Responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure while implementing network security initiatives
· Supervises, trains, and evaluates IT staffSPECIFIC DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops the Division’s short and long-range plans, goals and objectives and budgets
· Maintains and develops all necessary standard operating procedures, training policies and technical assistance for system users
· Monitors on-going service contracts, authorizes requests for services, manages network inventory and ensures that all network devices are under support and warranty
· Supports the System Administrator + Engineer to maintain the servers and system infrastructure: including but not limited to server patching, system backups, managing spam/email filter and account access, administering domain controllers and DNS servers, administering the phone system and other infrastructure platforms, and managing equipment inventory
· Maintains network infrastructure, including:o Manages, configures and optimizes performance of known networks and subnetworks, including VPN access (home routers) and wireless network and deviceso Troubleshoots network related issueso Develops, implements and manages back-up systems to assure continuation of services in case of emergency or disastero Ensures the regular updating and patching of network devices
· Implements network security initiatives, including:o Address any identified network and security vulnerabilitieso Monitors Firepower Management Console for vulnerabilities and intrusionso Manages Cisco Identity Services Engine to ensure that devices and staff have correct network access on both LAN and WLAN
· Manages all network and cyber security consultants
· Assists with Helpdesk related duties as needed
· Works cooperatively with all divisions to ensure smooth operations
· Performs other duties as requestedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
· A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS or related area
· Five plus years working knowledge in all facets of computer systems, including minicomputer systems, and administration (i.e.

NT, LINUX and UNIX environments with respect to communication and connectivity, MCSE preferred)
· Five plus years working with Cisco network devices, Cisco Identity Services Engine knowledge preferred
· Knowledge of popular software
· Ability to communicate computer systems concepts and language to a variety of computer skill leveled staff and/or system users
· Ability to work in a team environment at all levels and to be an effective team leader
· Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions
· Excellent planning, organizing and leadership/supervisory skills
· Strong customer service focus
· Ability to assist in facilitating change and to work in an always changing environment
· Ability to effectively manage and utilize time and other resourcesCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:A current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate is preferred.

California Driver’s License, current registration and current automobile insurance coverage is required if you drive on company business.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
