Director of Business Development – Air Freight

Position: Full-time
Base Pay Range: $100,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities:
- Utilize an established book of business to drive new sales and expand existing relationships in the air freight sector.
- Identify high-potential prospects and effectively position air freight solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through regular engagement and superior service delivery.
- Develop tailored proposals and negotiate competitive pricing to close deals and meet revenue goals.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiations and account transition.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction post-sale.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Track performance and report on sales activities, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of successful air freight sales experience with an established book of business.
- Proven ability to close high-value sales and grow existing client portfolios.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to work with both clients and internal teams to deliver results.
- Results-driven and highly self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of the air freight industry, including trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
