Director of Brand Marketing

Position Director of Brand Marketing Location: Bronx, NY (HYBRID – 3 days in, 2 days WFH) Salary: $175k
– $190k Bonus Successful food company is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to lead their team POSITION SNAPSHOT Leads the evolution of brand marketing with the goals of building favorability and revenue across key business segments and awareness among prospective talent and end consumers.

Directly leads creative, content, thought leadership, social, and events/partnerships to ensure that their work aligns with audience needs, business goals, and your strategy.

Bridge builder who collaborates cross-functionally across Sales, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and more which will be essential to elevate the great work that is already being done internally.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop an overarching brand strategy that broadens awareness and drives revenue, and overtime oversee the development of strategies for each of key business segments and core house brands
• Manage a team of five, with three direct reports, that include creative, content/social, and events/partnerships, to ensure they are executing and completing work that aligns with the brand strategy and is completed by the deadlines.

Manage performance of direct reports to encourage best-in-class execution and professional growth, and ensure the right people are in place to enable current and future needs.

• Oversee the creation of content and advertising that tells the story of the brand, elevating thought leadership and storytelling to enhance our product differentiation; work with internal teams and outside agencies to develop a brand campaign that tells the story of the company today and where we are going in the future.

Manage campaigns, both existing weekly ones as well as one-offs and launches.

• Own and hone brand guidelines and standards to ensure the right tone of voice and design, and ensure the organization has the toolkits it needs to communicate effectively with customers in a way that is scalable.

Serve as an internal brand ambassador, advocating for consistency internally in a way that is more empowering than policing.

• Work closely with Sales and Analytics to understand key audiences and their needs and create materials that will help with selling.

• Work closely with Merchandising to understand products, increase engagement with them and communicate launches.

• Work closely with Head of Digital Marketing to create alignment on audiences, and channels and ensure that all work is measured and optimized.

• Effectively create a business case for new initiatives, develop an ROI, present to senior leadership.

• Monitor current on industry, category, shopper, marketing, and consumer trends and competitor actions to proactively seek and recommend customer-led branding QUALIFICATIONS
• Passion for food and the food industry
• B.A.

or B.S.

Degree required in related discipline.

• Proven leader with 5 years’ brand marketing experience
• Google Analytics experience preferred
• PowerPoint expertise, with the ability to communicate strategy through deck creation and explain marketing to those who might not yet understand how it can help
• Ability and willingness to travel to conferences, trade shows, vendor tours, and other offsite locations and functions
• Customer-centric approach, with experience using voice of customer to inform brand
• Strategic thinker, who leverages a diverse set of inputs to develop objectives, strategies, and initiatives for short
– and long-term growth
• Data-driven and analytic mindset, with experience using data to make creative decisions and determine effectiveness
