Director of Booking

Overview:

This position will oversee the comprehensive facility rental program for special events within USC
Athletics.

This position will have direct oversight of Galen Center sales, bookings, and business
development related to ticketed and private events.

In addition, this position will be responsible for
booking film, television, and commercial advertising shoots in USC athletic facilities.

Position Information:

Job Title: Director of Booking
Hours per week: No set schedule.

May be required to work weekends, evening and/or holidays.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the strategic vision of the comprehensive rental program for USC Athletics facilities
Responsible for the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of methods and procedures related to all aspects of the rental program to ensure the highest level of customer service is being provided
Develop and implement marketing plans to promote and optimize usage of facilities
Evaluate and update rental rate structure for all spaces to include any additional fees and event specific charges
Negotiate and administer event related contracts
Develop and foster relationships with on-campus and off-campus partners in the coordination of events to ensure proper planning and compliance with applicable policies and procedures
Collaborate with key stakeholders on the development of revenue goals and prepare periodic reports regarding the rental program 
Develop and manage event expense budgets which includes estimate development, invoicing, and payment collection
Oversee website development and maintenance, digital assets, and social media accounts
Evaluate and guide the respective caterers for special events and ensure all University policies are followed
Work collaboratively with the various facility managers and building personnel who help support the successful execution of events
Other duties to be assigned by the General Manager of the Galen Center
Assure compliance with NCAA, PAC-12, and University protocols
Assure compliance with University purchasing protocols

Specific Requirements:

Must pass required background screening

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree required
3-5 years of successful sales experience
3-5 years of experience coordinating premium events
Successful experience working in a team environment and the ability to promote a team atmosphere with all employees
Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and clients by utilizing outstanding interpersonal skills
Possess strong business acumen and negotiation tactics
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage changing demands
Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with many varied audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience using sound judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact
Must be able to overcome obstacles independently, comfortable making decisions, and take full ownership of responsibilities
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethical standards
Ability to work nights, evenings, and weekend
