Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Acute Care will oversee 3 Nurse Managers over acute care as well as a friendly team of Medical Surgical RNs. The RN Director Medical Surgical will also collaborate with the Director of Professional Development on ongoing nursing development initiatives and the Director of Quality to improve the unit’s patient satisfaction scores and implement quality improvement projects.
The RN Director Medical Surgical will be responsible for strategic planning, budget management, program development, policies and procedures implementation, performance improvement and compliance. The RN Director Medical Surgical will collaborate with other Nursing Directors, Ancillary Directors, Nursing Administration and Physicians in a variety of committees within the hospital.
