The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) organization plays a critical role in the company’s cloud growth and digital transformation with customers.

The Go-to-Market (GTM) team in GPS is responsible for driving the holistic go-to-market approach across the partner ecosystem.

Our mission is to accelerate partner success through people, programs, investments, and campaigns across the customer purchase journey.

About the Role:

In this Director position you will need to demonstrate leadership, craft an aligned publishing strategy, execute a buyer strategy, focus on process improvement, and consistently exercise executive communication.

To deliver on this strategy you will also need to work to  set publishing targets for the Marketplace and create momentum with the partner channel to utilize marketplace for their solution set.

As the GTM Leader of Marketplace you will also drive the US end-to-end strategy for Marketplace  buyer awareness and adoption through 3 main channels: Direct to customer, Field Sales organization, and Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner channel.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead cross GPS, US workstream to connect the US marketplace strategy across multiple teams including build with (publishing), channel sales, CSP, partner marketing, and WW leads.
  • Publishing Strategy: In alignment with the GPS, US Build With organizations (ISV + SI) you will set targets for publishing and create partner interest and adoption of publishing to the marketplace with a goal to grow publishing YoY, especially for transacting solutions, with a specific focus on the most impactful solutions from our GISVs and SIs.
  • Buyer Strategy: Put into place specific plans to increase Marketplace adoption in three areas To Customer, Through Partner, and Through MS Sales.

    Accountable for doing US specific market analysis, research and interpretation then using these insights to drive the focused marketing plan through the correct channels and partners.

    Sales enablement messaging and targeting.

  • Process Improvement and Leadership : Establish a perspective on gaps in the current functionality, transaction rules, publishing blockers, and processing concerns then consistently communicate with leadership on status and progress.

    Through tight alignment with Worldwide and Local Leadership identify priorities for business escalation and needed changes that result in impactful updates to the Marketplace approach.

    Responsible for leadership awareness of status and maintaining strong relationships with all cross-team members to drive continued influence and impact on the full plan.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, partner channel development, or business development
  • 5 years experience in marketing or selling Cloud based solutions or cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to work in a cross-organizational and cross-discipline manner – leading the plan and creating action where direct reporting relationship doesn’t exist.
  • Experience storytelling with data and driving change through marketing and sales data
  • Strong working knowledge of key elements impacting and influencing Partner P&L
  • Be able to effectively drive cross-group communication and cooperation, using strong communication, project management, and organizational skills ‘‹
  • Strong influence skills, with extensive experience of working with virtual teams across functions and geographies.

    Proven ability to influence others as well as negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.

    Ability to engage and influence at senior levels

  • Experience driving demand generation with third party partnerships ‘‹
