nDirector, International Business Developmentn Job Locations US-CA-Los Angeles Job ID 2021-1292 # of Openings 1 Category Sales nOverviewn nn The Director of International Business Development and Export is responsible for leading Califia’s export business.

This individual will manage all aspects of the export relationship to ensure a best-in-class approach, contribute to margin accretive growth, and establish brand equity in markets globally.

This person will leverage his/her experience across finance, sales, supply chain, logistics and marketing functions at Califia.

The Director of International Business Development will also work with the SVP International Sales to drive Califia’s strategy internationally, assessing new markets in which Califia might choose to adopt a direct market management approach.

nn nResponsibilitiesn nn Export nn Generate revenue and manage all aspects of the sales process to export distributors globally, which include, but are not limited to: Legal: Work with outsourced Law firm to execute Distribution Agreements, Trademark filings and registration Finance: Propose unique price offering based on margin, RSP and logistics requirements Logistics: Ensure effective delivery to customers Marketing: Leverage digital and printed assets to create consistent brand messaging, engaging with outsourced / local partners where necessary Create pipeline of prospective export customers through proactive sourcing and inbound inquiries Monitor AR balances that conform to best practices at Califia Measure effectiveness and ROI of marketing initiatives in collaboration with customers Engage US Dept of Commerce and Dept of Agriculture to explore government grants or favorable programs for Califia nn n Business Development nn Analyze select geographies and develop market entry approach vis-à-vis distributors, foodservice, retail, eCommerce, sub-licensing agreements, etc.
