Each Director is assigned a specific industry and is accountable for annual strategic planning to develop Go-to-Market (GTM) plans to support TriNet’s business potential across all sales channels.

The Sales Director, Industry has an assigned revenue target and indirectly leads the Sales Consultants’ focus, industry certification and demand gen activities to drive sales results for their assigned industry across multiple sales regions.

The Sales Director, Industry works collaboratively with multiple Directors of Sales (DOS) to drive excellent results.The Sales Director, Industry provides mentorship to sales reps on industry messaging to include new hire certification, targeting prospects, hosting events, developing, and encouraging relationships with partners and driving the sales process for our most sophisticated deals.

The successful Sales Director, Industry is a leader who encourages without authority, drives industry thought leadership, and builds a national partnership strategy uniquely suited for their industry.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Connects TriNet to Industry is a brand ambassador for TriNet, specifically to assigned region.

Continually source a pipeline of excellent sales rep candidates through networking and brand alignment.

Develop and host regular industry events (live or virtual) to drive a continuous high-quality pipeline.
•    Execute Industry “Key Plays” planning and demand generation through collaborative planning with Regional Sales Directors and Sales Consultants to segment and target prospecting lists.

Build or collaborate with others on timely and industry relevant prospecting campaigns and cadences.

Work directly with SDRs to focus efforts on the right accounts to generate pipeline.
•    Builds Industry ecosystem through constant education and self-awareness of changes and developments in the market.

Sourcing at least 5 key play referrals from strategic partnerships on a quarterly basis.

Additionally, identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities to continue to grow pipeline.
•    Drives execution process for selected Large Deals by acting as the coordination point and executive sponsor, hosting strategy and planning sessions, keeping sales leadership informed and accountable for deal-level activity follow up.

Through collaborative efforts with select sales consultants, drive a minimum number of large deals every month, from initial discovery meeting to close.
•    Develops Sales New Hire talent through a dedication to the prescribed sales new hire onboarding and engagement program, specific mentor achievements and training activities.

Takes a leadership role with Regional Director and Sales Consultant to establish a strong ecosystem plan is crafted and inspects for adherence and execution.
•    Collaborates across the organization to drive team efficiency and success.
•    Actively participates in the interviewing process and follows all steps of the defined process to ensure a smooth process.
•    Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): NoneExperience: 
•    5+ years of successful sales management experience, preferably leading a field-sales team, required.
•    5+ years of experience in consultative sales, B2B sales experience required.
•    Confirmed PEO experience is a plus.
•    Strategic business planning: familiarity with market development and go to market strategy development
•    Industry expertise and recognition as an inspiring leader in their fieldOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
•    Ability to navigate a sophisticated sales process with multiple partners.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, social skills and presentation skills.
•    Ability to communicate successfully at all levels of the organization.
•    Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while leading multiple priorities.
•    Proven financial acumen.
•    Experience with technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office and Salesforce.com.
•    A proven dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
•    Proven track record to influence C-level executives and help direct reports drive new client business.
•    Ability to forecast and manage quota.
•    Ability to demonstrate financial acuity by understanding key financial reports and measures (e.g., P&L, Balance sheet, profitability measures, etc.).
•    Consistent record of understanding of sales revenue model to maintain predictable regional profitability through pipeline and clients.
•    Strong Excel skills to be able to analyze a prospect’s hard and soft costs and translate that into a persuasive economic presentation.WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
