Some of the things we’d like you to do:
Maintain a single view, globally, of the common data required by different teams & disciplines to perform their responsibilities and to create client deliverables
Codify and evolve data standards that define how activity in proprietary and third-party ad-tech platforms should be set up to ensure data can be captured and collected to satisfy data requirements, gathering input from media and data specialists as appropriate
Lead the definition and management of cross-discipline roles & responsibilities and processes to achieve data standards
Advise analysts, data scientists, data engineers and BI developers on how they can access the right data to meet their needs
Advise and input into central data engineering and development efforts to make commonly required data sets readily available within our central data management platform
Lead the data operations team who will deliver ongoing data quality reporting and take proactive measures to improve data quality , as defined by the data standards
Create and own training programs to ensure users understand data standards, their specific role in meeting them, and how they can use the data to inform their decisions.
Maintain a central data dictionary to help people navigate the data universe available to them
Continually engage people across the account to ensure they understand why data excellence is so importance, and their role in achieving it
Recruit, train and lead data champions across the account, holding them accountable for the quality of data within their teams.
Audit the use of data across the account, ensuring the right data sources are being used to drive decisions and as inputs to products and deliverables
Audit data access, ensuring users only have access to the data that is relevant to their role, and that they have permission to access
Provide insights to account leadership on the quality of data across the account, and own action plans to overcome systematic problems
A bit about yourself:
Required
8+ years experience, including significant time spent in digital media agencies or related companies (e.g.
publisher, ad tech, client marketing org)
Hands-on experience activating media campaigns within Google Marketing Platform (e.g.
Campaign Manager, DV360, Google Analytics and Adwords) and Social Platforms
A strong understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, and how data is tracked, exchanged and managed in the process of digital advertising
Hands-on experience designing and implementing data strategies and best practice associated with media campaigns (e.g.
naming conventions, data hierarchies etc.)
Experience leading data governance type initiatives, and the creation and deployment of policies, processes, and tools to facilitate the creation and capture of structured and consistent data from digital campaigns to enable reporting and automation efforts
Experience working with technical teams, helping them translate requirements into technical solutions and supporting their development
Strong analytical skills and a natural affinity for numbers..
Able to analyze raw data, draw insights and develop actionable recommendations as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communications style, in particular able translate complex technical considerations into simple to understand documentation
An ability to lead cross-functional teams, with a track record of influencing others that don’t report into you to drive adoption of solutions and changes in behavior
High attention to detail, with strong organisational and project management skills
A passion for data excellence and integrity, and an ability to engage others in why it’s important.
Desirable
Experience working in a globally-oriented team, playing an active role in cross-market initiatives
Experience using data infrastructure and cloud data management technologies to collect and manipulate data
An ability to interrogate data using SQL
