Garter is recruiting for a Senior Advisor with strong knowledge of Digital Workplace to provide expertise to Midsize Enterprise (MSE) clients.

About this role:
CIOs at MSEs must work within the inherent constraints of limited budgets and staffing in an uncertain environment.
They enable small IT teams do big things. However, a smaller organization’s ability to be nimble in tactical and strategic execution, coupled with their smaller scale, can be used to its advantage. The digital workplace allows CIOs and their leaders in MSEs to leverage advances in technology to improve the productivity of the entire enterprise and bring value to clients.
Employees need to have the optimum office communication and collaboration technologies to drive their effectiveness and reduce digital friction whether they are in an office, working from home or travelling, the digital workplace. Recent events only accelerated the adoption of digital workplace technologies.
This role creates thought leading Cloud Office and Integrated Workplace Management System (WMS) research for our MSE CIO clients through published research, conversations with client (Inquiry), stage presentations, teleconferences, and client meetings.
It is important that you have a vision for how the digital workplace future will evolve, and how it will change the way people will work, based on a good understanding of the key strategies, technologies and vendors in this market.
What you’ll do:
As a Gartner analyst you will meet with clients every day: on the phone, in a video conference, from the stage at a Gartner event or face-to-face during a sales support visit.
In every client interaction, analysts help clients to reach better decisions and unpack complex issues along with providing high quality, timely insight that is provocative as well as pragmatic.
To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends and produce content, in a variety of form factors for Gartner clients to use and apply to deliver their mission critical priorities.
Conduct research and analysis in specific areas of expertise targeting client’s key initiatives. Write high quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents. Deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media. Offer projections of where digital workplace markets are evolving using data Help clients select the right vendor and assist vendors with market positioning. Remain ahead of the curve on developments within specified and adjacent areas. Respond to client questions, support and deliver presentations to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations. Identify next best actions after client inquiries, and continuously engage clients on Gartner research and advice. Maintain the Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries. Collaborate with the MSE sales and service partners’ efforts to drive engagement and help clients/prospects make progress against their critical priorities.

Subject matter expertise in digital workplace and remote work trends with the ability to demonstrate understanding of the business applications and opportunities in that market. Experience in working in or with a midsize enterprise and it versatilist roles and functions Knowledge and vision for how the digital workplace will evolve in the future. Knowledge of the global landscape, and the competitive interplay between incumbents, emerging providers, disruptors and outsourcers. Experience of software applications, including Cloud Office and Integrated Workplace Management Solutions and Resource Scheduling Solutions that form part of the technology needed to manage the digital office environment.
