BASIC FUNCTION:
The Design Consultant’s main responsibility is to provide both customer services and suggestive selling to clientele, as well as help with day-to-day operations of the Showroom.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offers suggestions to clients pertaining to pattern, color, etc.
- Coordinates special products and assignments for clientele
- Requests product from inventory as necessary; Fulfills sample requests both within the showroom and through the Web
- Generate and process reserves, sales quotes, and orders
- Organizes showroom and trimming displays as necessary
- Provide customer service to clientele including order processing, customer follow up and customer inquiries.
- Support outside sales person with requests incurred from road.
- All other duties as assigned by Senior Management
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Organizational ability
- Must be able to multi-task
- Passion for Design and good color sense a plus
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional presentation
- Sales experience, preferably in a showroom environment
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications and Excel
- Design experience is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
