What you will do:

  • Lead the demand/merchandise planning function to consistently deliver against company goals across all three channels of distribution.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including: Marketing, Product Innovation, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and Hair Color Bar Operations.
  • Establish strong working relationships with the retail partner planning and buying teams through regular meetings to review sales trends, forecasts and promotional plans.
  • Prepare wholesale performance reporting with key insights at the close of each week/month.
  • Own the continuous improvement and maintenance of the wholesale forecast model ensuring it is updated with the most recent sales and promotional plans at each retail partner.
  • Manage the forecast models for the MR Direct and Hair Color Bar sales channels striving to keep the MAPE variance score within target.
  • Support the onboarding of new retail partners as required through collaborative development of store set orders and ongoing replenishment orders with the partner planning and buying teams.
  • Lead the monthly S&OP meeting in collaboration with the manager of Supply Planning to develop consensus surrounding key forecast assumptions, promotional lifts, launch forecasts and product transitions.
  • Coordinate all new product launch and product phase out SKU transitions with the Supply Chain and Sales teams to maximize the revenue potential while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory exposure.
  • Establish best in class KPI metrics to assess the effectiveness of our forecasting process in each channel.
  • Support business stakeholders with ad hoc analysis as required.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with strong relevant work experience.
  • 5
    – 8 years of merchandise and demand planning experience in a retail and CPG brand setting.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP is preferred but not required if the candidate has similar ERP experience on a different platform such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.
  • Demonstrated exceptional strength in excel based analysis and data manipulation.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to be firm but diplomatic and concurrently build effective working relationships.
  • Rigorous attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with the ability to drive high level strategic thinking while also rolling up your sleeves to get the job done with a focus on issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate in an ambiguous environment to achieve high levels of performance and deliver sustainable results to the team.
