Delaware North: General Manager, Patina Event Catering

The OpportunityDelaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group is searching for a General Manager with an exceptional knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails that is dedicated to creating extraordinary dining experiences for guests.

Our ideal General Manager candidate has a strong knowledge of business financials by monitoring an annual budget, labor control, operating expenses, and P& Ls.

You’ll use your skills to lead, inspire, and collaborate with a dedicated group of talented chefs, managers, and team members at Patina Catering Kitchen in Los Angles, California that wish to grow their careers within our great company.ResponsibilitiesManaging day-to day-catering operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.Accountable for all scheduling¿and supervision of all associates on the shift.Reviews financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.Completes accurate and necessary administrative duties to include, but not limited to: workforce planning, training, sales tracking, labor tracking, petty cash, deposits, inventories, ordering, account payables and receivables, and P& L accounting.Establish standard operating procedures for supervising all front of the house associates while inspiring and motivating them to promote the concept.Collaborate with the Executive Chef on standard operating procedures in the front and back of the house and ensuring those procedures are enforced to ensure food and menu specifications, food handling and food safety requirements (in compliance with Health Department standards), and receiving, and storage procedures.Handle and report product orders, inventory, and sales.Follows procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, customers, and company assets.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience as a General Manager in full-service restaurant, hotel, or other food and beverage location with similar volume, capacity, and standard of service.Degree in hospitality or business management preferred.Strong wine and bar knowledge required, a sommelier certification from either Court of Master’s or WSET highly valued.Servsafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certifications required.Strong financial and computer skills; has experience working with and an understanding of P& L’s; able to monitor budgets and manage service and labor costs.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed.Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to deal effectively with all types of business contacts,¿employee affairs, and customers.Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point of sale (POS) systems, and any other required operating systems or machines (i.E.
