The Dealer Relationship Manager is responsible to develop, manage, and maintain a network of qualified franchisees and select independent automobile dealerships for the Axos Indirect Auto Loan product in new and existing market territories.
Daily tasks to include auto dealer contact, marketing, follow-up, sales, and relationship building from our home office in San Diego.
The DRM is expected to independently and effectively manage their defined territory for production, efficiency, and profitability objectives.
The Role Source new business opportunities and maintain productive, profitable relationships leveraging our inside sales technology Maintain a regularly scheduled dealership call program to ensure sales and sales-related activities for each dealer relationship are consistently achieved Increase market share and awareness of Axos brand Achieve and maintain the level of product knowledge necessary to effectively, comprehensively, and proficiently present the retail contract product to all levels of management within the dealership Generate revenue by achieving production, yield, efficiency, and effectiveness goals Are You A Fit?
5 years comparable position with a prime lender Existing, productive dealership relationships in the defined territory Telephone sales Knowledgeable of franchised dealership operations, particularly the vehicle sales department functions Excellent interpersonal skills Effective, persuasive communication skills in all channels including well-developed presentation skills at all levels of dealership management coupled with strong closing skills Organized Strong understanding of the automotive finance landscape and the ability to identify and to cultivate a pipeline of prospective dealer accounts Keen understanding of the automotive finance and retail operations of an automobile dealership including an ability to gain an audience with key decision makers Self-directed, excel in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment Preferred: Sales management in the retail automobile business Undergraduate degree in a business discipline
