The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a Medical Education Curriculum Supervisor to oversee the undergraduate medical education curriculum. In this role, you will manage a team devoted to curriculum delivery; ensure the effective, compliant, and efficient daily management of all operations, contribute to the development of policies, procedures, manuals, and other written communications required for accreditation and quality enhancement; work as a liaison between education leaders to facilitate integration of all aspects of the curriculum; and manages and staffs a sub-committee of the Medical Education Committee.
This role will require that you hit the ground running and spend effort learning the business. Attendance at certain periodic evening or weekend events is required). You will, in partnership with faculty and Curricular Affairs Leadership, play a key role in ensuring all aspects of the medical education curriculum are delivered in the highest quality fashion, and ensuring that all curriculum team members are delivering outstanding customer service to students and faculty.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Must have experience in managing and developing a team.
- A minimum of four years of program manager experience or equivalent years of experience and education.
- Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students and staff both orally and in writing.
- Skill in planning meetings: logistical arrangements, announcements, registration, and evaluation.
- Computer skills for word processing and database management, and ability to learn additional software programs.
- Knowledge of the current medical student curriculum and proposed changes
- Ability to organize tasks and information in order to facilitate various responsibilities.
- Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources.
- Skill in the operation of multimedia equipment: laptop computers, digital projector, slide projector, videotape playback, digital video cameras, microphones.
- Skill in assessing instructional costs
