Cosmetics is looking for a creative and highly analytical CRM & Email Manager, to join our eCommerce/Digital team.

This position will manage email marketing strategy and execution for all three e.l.f.

Beauty brand: e.l.f.

Cosmetics, W3LL PEOPLE, and KEYS Soulcare and will be based in our New York City office (although we are all working from home for the time being).

The CRM & Email Manager will develop and manage end-to-end daily email marketing campaigns including concept development and content planning, audience segmentation and targeting, set-up, deployment, reporting and ongoing testing and optimization.

This role will also manage email marketing and SMS calendars for e.l.f.

Cosmetics in the US, UK, EU and Germany as well as for W3LL PEOPLE and KEYS Soulcare.

This position will work closely with the rest of the CRM and eCommerce teams as well as Brand Marketing, Creative, IT and outside agencies to develop creative briefs in alignment with those teams and channel leads, ensuring designs & copy are mobile-first and follow best practices.

The ideal hire will bring between three and seven years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing or CRM and be passionate about beauty.

S/he will need demonstrated analytical ability to leverage data to inform insights, formulate recommendations and deliver actionable solutions as well as deep experimentation experience and mindset with a proven track record of executing A/B tests, optimizing campaigns and translating data into insights.

The CRM & Email Manager will report directly to the Director of Global CRM & Customer Growth.

Detailed Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities Develop and manage daily broadcast and triggered email marketing campaigns from end-to-end, including concept development and content planning, audience segmentation and targeting, set-up, deployment, reporting and ongoing testing and optimization.

Manage email marketing and SMS calendars for e.l.f.

Cosmetics US, UK, EU, Germany, W3LL PEOPLE and Keys Soulcare.

Develop creative briefs in alignment with Brand Marketing, eCommerce and channel leads, ensuring designs & copy are mobile-first and follow best practices.

Implement a personalization and segmentation strategy; use data and creativity to explore and test new segments, identify opportunities for A/B testing to optimize and drive improvements to KPIs.

Truly think outside the box in coming up with unique, thumb-stopping digital experiences.

Act as a power user of the CDP (Customer data platform) and other tools by building audiences for testing and personalization and uncovering insights.

Own relationship with email marketing agencies and work in close collaboration with email agency to build, QA and deploy email campaigns.

Scale each brand’s email marketing audiences and revenue to deliver incremental revenue contribution and drive new customer acquisition, retention, purchase frequency, AOV, conversion, and CLV.

Partner with eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Social, Data team and Paid Media teams to share channel insights and align on support for product launches, brand marketing priorities, eCommerce promotions and CRM initiatives.

Advise on and implement actions to prevent churn & leaky bucket issues; oversee email/SMS data hygiene efforts and overall database maintenance in partnership with internal Data Team and email agencies.

Forecast goals for email revenue and sessions & oversee email agency budget and allocation of hours across different projects.

Develop reporting and analysis of email marketing performance to be shared with the immediate CRM & digital teams, executives, and creative team.

Own quarterly meetings with creative team to share insights on best and worst performing assets.

Develop and optimize email & SMS lead capture / acquisition strategies across the site and all digital channels.

Work with CRM Director & CRM Manager to support roadmap goals and objectives, owning relevant projects end-to-end with an entrepreneurial approach and spirit.

Partner with Data & Mobile Innovation Manager to align mobile app marketing campaigns (both push and in-app) with email & SMS plans Partner with CRM Manager to align on loyalty program support through email & SMS.

Assist with ad hoc initiatives as needed, including working with CRM automations on special projects.

Requirements Extensive email marketing experience managing high-volume campaigns in a fast-paced environment Relevant experience in creating and scaling end-to-end email/CRM campaigns across customer lifecycle stages Demonstrated analytical ability to leverage data to inform insights, formulate recommendations and deliver actionable solutions Deep experimentation experience and mindset with a proven track record of executing A/B tests, optimizing campaigns and translating data into insights Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities Strong technical knowledge, including an innate understanding of marketing technology (ESPs, Google Analytics, Loyalty platforms, CDP/CRM, and personalization tools like Dynamic Yield) and how to use these tools to deliver outstanding and innovative consumer experiences Proven track record of taking ownership and driving outcomes in a fast-paced environment Ability to think both strategically and tactically; equally comfortable with long-term planning and day-to-day progress tracking and execution Bachelor’s Degree 3-7 years of Email Marketing/Digital Marketing or CRM experience Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline-driven Experience working cross-functionally with different teams across an organization Comfortable working in a collaborative manner and a highly creative out-of-the-box thinker
