Controls99, LLC: Supply Chain Manager

SUMMARYThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all the aspects of the supply chain for the site.

Manages raw material and MRO ordering processes, production scheduling, and material flow between the plant and the warehouses.

Supervises inventory control activities as well as shipping activities.

RESPONSIBILITIESDefine responsibilities, processes and key performances indicators for supply chain department.Validate raw material requirements and choose best purchasing options in coordination with procurement manager.

Analyze market pricing fluctuations, contract leverage, shipping constraints and warehousing costs to minimize material procurement costsLead price and contact negotiation with raw material, MRO and services suppliers.Coordinate procurement strategies and actions with other company sites and central purchasingOversees production scheduling that would satisfy customer expectation while achieving maximum operating efficiency.

This includes implementation of master schedules, forecast, capacity models to ensure that customer demand will be met.Supervises the release of production documentation and ensure accuracy of instructions to the floorSupervises proper flow of raw material, sub assemblies, and finish goods through the manufacturing and warehouses area.

Implement flow processes to minimize staging and multiple handling.Supervises inventory management – Ensures that cycle counts programs and rigorous reporting are in place to maintain high inventory accuracyLead physical inventory (if required) for raw material, wip and finished goods.

As a primary contact for auditors, provide support documentation, ERP reports, showing inventory accuracy and control.Supervises finish good storage and shipping activities.

Monitor on-time shipment and shipping quality and accuracyOversees all daily receiving activities including raw material, MRO items, tankers and railcar deliveries.Lead process improvement projects for supply chain department, such as bar-coding tools, new software, automated processes or new storage and distribution tools.Implements and develops processes and written procedures such as MOP’s and AOP’s.

Insures process and procedures are followed and training is provided.Investigate quality and safety deficiencies within supply chain departmentEnsure department personnel are developed and cross-trained in order meet department’s daily responsibilities.Participates in customer audits, regulatory audits and compliance audits involving supply chain.Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed, and that equipment and work areas are neat, clean and well organized.Ensures all LA Corporate’s policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

Experience Required4-year college degree or equivalent preferredExperience in all areas of supply chain including receiving, shipping, inventory control, product storage, material handling equipment and systems.Two to five years management experience in a supply chain function, in a manufacturing environment.Extensive experience with ERP system, and other computer software for supply chain management.Analytical, problem solving and leadership skills required.Able to lead fast paced, multi-faceted teamsStrong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal and critical thinking capabilitiesSelf-starter, demonstrates initiative and commitment, able to influence all levels of leadershipExcellent organizational and negotiation skills, strong analytical capabilities
