JOB DESCRIPTION:About AbbottOur location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Contracts Administration Supervisor.

This role is in the contracting and pricing department.

They have functional responsibility for the analytical support and pricing decisions for all contracts across all channels of the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Business; representing billions in sales.

The department also analyzes and manages contract compliance on all performance; rebate; and chargeback contracts.

WHAT YOU’LL DOThe person hired in this role is responsible for delivering sales/margin objectives by developing pricing and contracting strategies for all major customer channels.

They will also be responsible for creating and managing contract programs consistent with overall pricing strategies; that ensure goal achievement while maximizing; and assuring customer satisfaction.In addition, the person hired will be responsible for providing decision support systems to sales and marketing teams to enable management of businesses.

They will also follow policies and standards to ensure compliance with governmental regulations; and monitors customer contracts.Additional responsibilities:Negotiate and draft high-value and high-profile complex contract terms and conditions in accordance with corporate policiesPresent and explain contract conditions and details to customers, business partners, and management.Work with different levels of personnel within the organization to analyze and solidify an overall contracting strategy.Work with marketing, finance and legal to develop and implement pricing and contracting strategy; policy; and structure that maximizes profitable share gain and business growth.Assess current contracting and pricing processes and develop improvements based on business needs and assessment of best practices across ADD, APOC, ADC, and external (includes contract life cycle management such as compliance to terms, proactive renewals, etc).Sales Tools/MetricsManage and monitor Sales Metrics.Enhance Aspen SFDC utilization via simplified data entry, access, and Best Practice sharing.Increases sales force efficiency enabling an increase in CFT.Understand CRM systems, ownership of generating reports, analyze data and track contracting and team’s metrics through the CRM.PricingEnsure pricing strategy is being executed effectively.Manage and monitor pricing exceptions.Provide pricing insights to the Area.Manage validation of pricing; terms & conditions and their implementation for individual and group contracts to insure compliance with established division policy and programs.Supervisory Duties:Supervise contract administrators and contract coordinators’ day-to-day productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.Track performance of direct reports and provide performance evaluations.Train onboarding personnel in contract administration group and in Sales (as it relates to contracting process).Acts as a knowledge resource to direct reports and the Sales organization in regard to current policies, processes and programsEstablish and maintain policies and standards to ensure compliance with government regulations, including coordinating efforts with internal and external legal counsel and other third parties.Develop and implement ongoing compliance training programs for all department personnel.Develop, maintain and foster highly effective internal and external client relationships.Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.Perform other duties & projects as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRINGRequiredBachelors Degree (± 16 years) in Business, Finance or related subject.

Or equivalent in years of experience in equivalent role.At least 4 years of work experience in same type of role including experience with contracting and pricing and/or, customer service, accounting/finance, information systems, marketing, and business management, sales, strong customer experience.Preferred7 years of work experience in same type of role.Skills: Administrative, leadership, communication, project management.

Intermediate to advance Word and Excel experience.Total combined minimum of five seven years preferably from the following: contract administration, field sales, marketing product management or general business management in biotech/healthcare industryMature, highly analytical, energetic and able to contribute effectively in a highly result-oriented environmentTeam player with strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
