Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Description The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of Total Productive Maintenance across the facility. The role is fundamental in supporting and leading safety, quality and productivity improvements through the application of TPM and loss elimination initiatives. Success will be measured by the ability to actively engage associates to achieve targeted business goals. Responsibilities: Work with a variety of site leadership, site associates, outside vendors and contractors to drive improvement in Safety, Quality, Production Efficiency, Costs and Loss Reduction Develop Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean-Six Sigma capabilities Coordinate with other TPM stakeholders and sites to share practices and improve results Provide technical leadership within the facility to affect improvements on production lines Understand financial metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Works with site leadership to develop and achieve aggressive improvement goals Map TPM implementation strategy by both milestones and metrics. Track progress of both Lead teams to develop and maintain engineering competencies at the site by coaching and mentoring to build capabilities Be the subject matter expert on TPM processes and implementation Lead CI events through hands-on participation Initiate action for food safety issues Provide overall support, assistance, direction and communication to Management teams regarding TPM Initiatives All other duties assigned Qualifications: A (B.A. or B.S.) in Engineering or related field, with emphasis on plastics and / or related experience Six Sigma Black Belt Team oriented Self Motivation and flexibility of job assignments Blend of technical, interpersonal skills Must possess strong leadership skills Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Must be able to build a strong working relationship with employees Plastipak is an Equal Opportunity Employer In order to process your job application, Plastipak collects and stores the personal information that you submit via this website.
