Competitive Insights Manager

Job Description: Role purpose The Competitive Insights Manager will gather market insights to better understand competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, product offering, pricing and strategy all in an effort to influence strategic direction for Tate & Lyle.

The core responsibility of this role is to develop a central view and knowledge sharing platform of the global ingredient market and competitors.

Analyze, evaluate, assess and provide ingredient market and competitive intelligence to the Product Managers, Pricing, Category Managers, Sales as well as Innovation and Commercial Development and Global Operations.

Maintain and manage contact to external intelligence providers for market studies, benchmarks, and import/export data in addition to creating and maintaining a Benchmarking Platform.

Main accountabilities MarketBuild centralized market intelligence hubProvide global market insights on ingredient market trends, market size, growth and main players for Food & Beverage Solutions.Evaluate various data sources such as IHS, LMC, CCM, import/export statistics, single and multi-client studies.

CompetitionProvide competitive intelligence for ad-hoc projects such as M&A projectsCo-lead with Product Managers and Global Operations production benchmarksProvide Global and Regional quarterly report about main competitor activities PricingCollaborate with pricing, provide pricing insight data to support price strategies and tactics Supplier/Consultant ManagementEstablish contact and cooperation with consultants that could provide competitive intelligenceCultivate list of potential consultants/suppliers, create requests for proposal, work with procurement in the tender process, manage relationshipsAssess current supplier/consultants used for MI/CI, determine need for and work to streamline as appropriate FES Duty of Care: Food SafetyCarry out responsibilities/duties according to food safety, legal and quality requirements so as to ensure that our products are fit for human consumption.
