Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director Total Rewards, this role is to implement and manage Citizen’s compensation strategy so that outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the organization’s desired internal and external market position.

Job Duties:

Facilitates a work environment that fosters and supports ethical decision-making and actions by motivating, promoting, and modeling ethical behavior, as well as executing job responsibilities in accordance with Citizen’s core values, ethics, and information protection policies.

Responsible for managing staff, including hiring, goal setting, planning and delegation of work, training and development, coaching/mentoring and completing performance evaluations.

Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures, recommending plan revisions as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and CPIC objectives. Monitor Salary structure and ensure alignment with market. Manages high-level project planning relating to program revisions, redesign and/or development. Administrator MarketPay system.

Provides advice and counsel to HRBP, Recruitment, and CPIC lines of business in regards to pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation related issues. Provides Compensation education internally to HR and to external clients. Manages all major compensation initiatives.

Manages the participation in, conducts and participates in salary surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved. This includes the administration of the salary survey tool used to compile market data monitor matches and data year over year.

Provides detailed, analytical support including financial and statistical modeling for creation, implementation, and execution of compensation initiatives. Manage the design and administration of base pay program. Merit cycle, FLSA reviews, larger scope salary reviews.

Manage and work with Compensation Consultant to ensue data integrity via audits relating to jobs, pay grades, titles. Manage all activities relating to CenterPoint for major upgrades, enhancements, patches throughout the year. Document issues and work with HRIM to resolve. Produce job aids and technical instructions as updates are required. Audit all data reports to ensure data integrity. Revise and update all job aids, communications & training materials.

  • SHRM / World@Work Certifications
  • Master’s Degree
  • HRIS Experience | Oracle

Minimum years of experience:

5 + years related experience in Compensation management and design

  • In lieu of supervisory experience, may consider those with2 or more years of experience in leading projects/teams. **In lieu of managerial experience, may consider those with 2 or more years of experience leading project teams, or teams with overall responsibility for project planning and delivering expected results.

Education:

High School Diploma | GED

Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 4 years
