Closing Date:26 September 2022
First Interview Dates:Week commencing 3rd October
About the role

ClientEarth believes a healthy planet where nature and all people can thrive together isn’t just possible: it’s essential. We use the law to make that vision a reality. We take on governments, hold businesses to account, and change financial markets. One well-placed, hard-won legal victory can change the system. Enough of them can change the future.

Mission-critical to this success in the Unites States will be a Communications Manager with the know-how, creativity and drive to build, shape and amplify our presence and voice in the US.

Over the past decade, we’ve cemented our position as the leading experts in environmental law across Europe and delivered high-impact work in Africa and Asia. We have won world-first legal challenges against coal plants in Poland and successfully challenged the UK government three times in national courts on air pollution. After a decade-long legal battle we secured the right for more than 400 million people to challenge environmental decisions in EU courts. We’ve helped to bring in stronger environmental protection in China.

But we know that climate change and nature loss are global challenges requiring global solutions – so we’re continuing the global expansion of our work into new territories around the world. This includes the US, where we will use some of the innovative legal approaches that we’ve developed and increase our existing fundraising efforts.

Our US Communications Manager will play a critical role in building awareness of ClientEarth in the US and coordinating all of our communications activities in the US.
