Los Angeles based event production company looking for commission based event sales manager.
This is a commission-only based position based in Los Angeles with opportunity to turn into a full time salaried position (if sales warrant).
Phone stipend provided along with hourly pay for internal office meetings.
This is a telecommute opportunity.
Summary:
Prospect and identify key companies and follow through with sale of special event, while supporting the company’s business objectives.
The commission based sales manager will negotiate on behalf of the company and ask as a liaison between client and company during the sales period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Solicit new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
– Handle contracted event details and arrange with appropriate subcontractors, decorating companies, audio/visual, catering and on site manager for chosen venue.
– Provide feedback on current printed materials and be proactive in the creation and ideas of new promotional material relevant to specific industries.
Payment:
– Commission is based on a tiered system depending upon total net sales.
Phone Stipend offered, along with hourly pay for any internal company meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospitality or Event Management with 3-5 years relevant experience.
Candidates with experience in corporate, social and nonprofit will be given higher consideration.
Ability to multi task in stressful, highly active situations
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication and public relations skills
Active involvement in appropriate organizations/associations are a plus.
Strong background and experience in Los Angeles social and convention market is a plus.
