Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our UK/IRE team reporting to the UK/IRE Country Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and enforcing the commercial & pricing strategies, business analytics, and fostering growth opportunities. The Commercial Manager will work closely with the wider UK/IRE leadership team to oversee all commercial activities, including market analysis, key customer relationship management, whilst being part of strategy development.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Commercial Strategy for the UK/IRE Business

Own the pricing strategy for the business, to drive growth in revenue and profitability.

Oversee and develop innovative commercial offering in collaboration with sales managers to secure new business opportunities.

Oversee all Bids, Tenders & Contracting activity to ensure excellence in all activities.

Work with Country Lead to identify and implement additional revenue drivers and service offerings.

Define pricing strategies for New Product Introductions alongside marketing team.

Key Customer / Buying Group Management

Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of high-value, strategic customers & buying groups including NHS Supply Chain. Managed care providers & private groups

Identify opportunities for growth in key accounts nationally across the legacy core and new innovative products. Work with local sales teams to drive evaluations.

Business Analytics

Analyse business data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic commercial decision-making.

Be the country expert in business analytics tools and systems such as Oracle.

Own KPI’s metrics and measurements, creation of reports and dashboards to support commercial leadership team.

Manager the master data required to ensure accuracy of business analytics

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and manage the BTP Specialist, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management.

Lead and influence, indirectly, the overall commercial activities of the wider sales team.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales teams, International Commercial teams, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of commercial activities.

Market Access

Active involvement with both industry and society bodies such as ABHI, British Society of Interventional Cardiology etc to stay up to date on relevant market activities and reimbursement principles.

Work with wider leadership team on strategies to demonstrate the value of our products to healthcare providers, payers, and policymakers.

Work with sider sales team on including cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses, to support product value propositions for certain products within the portfolio.

Work alongside EHS to ensure Cordis is compliant with UK & Irish legislation with regards to procurement, sustainability and modern slavery assessments.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree: in a business, medical, life sciences, or related field.

Industry experience: Several years of experience in the medical device industry or a related healthcare sector.

Commercial experience: Proven track record in sales, marketing, or business development roles.

Leadership experience preferred: Experience in managing teams and leading projects.

Experience in market access and knowledge of pricing and reimbursement is advantageous.

Demonstrated abilities in business analytics, KPI tracking and reports creation.
