Closing Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Closing Manager will assist in overseeing all responsibilities assigned to the Loan Closing Team

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The following outlines the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, though the Company reserves the right to assign other or different responsibilities from time to time:

· Provide day-to-day leadership to the loan closing team

· Ensures loans are closed and funded within required time frames

· Reviews loans to ensure they are closed appropriately and accurately.

Provides Quality Control of all loans

· Ensure collateral is perfected in accordance with loan approval

· Informs loan documentation team regarding discrepancies noted in loan documents and approvals

· Ensure loans are disbursed appropriately and correct funding source utilized.

· Ensure client introduction to loan servicing

· Prepares reports for the Board of Directors and CCO as needed.

· Customer retention and communication

· Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.

Education and Experience

· Previous Closing Management experience required

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7 years of equivalent experience

· Financial services work experience of 5-7 years

· Detailed oriented and strong organization skills

· Proficient with Microsoft office

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Must work effectively with other staff members and work well in a busy environment.

PROFICIENCIES

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, operations and regulations.

· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.

· Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.

· Demonstrate Assertiveness and confidence

· Exhibit a professional, business like appearance and demeanor.

Physical activities required to perform essential functions

Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 50% of time is spent working at a desk.

Balance of time (approximately 50%) is spent moving around work areas.

Speaking/Hearing: Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with co-workers, customers, and outside agencies, by telephone and in person.

Vision: Ability to effectively use the computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos and other appropriate paperwork.

Lifting/Carrying: The ability to transport files and office supplies.

Stooping/Kneeling: The ability to stoop and kneel is necessary for accessing files/stocking supplies.

Reaching/Handling: Good manual dexterity is necessary for computer keyboard use and for retrieving and working with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.
