Change Initiative Manager III

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Change Management Office under the CNB Office of the President is responsible for the management of change initiatives across the product groups and lines of business (LOBs) that fall under the Office of the President.

This position is responsible for the planning, implementation and successful delivery of one or more key programs, leading project teams and Project Managers that are each responsible for elements therein.

This includes architecting program or project structures, plans to enable fulfillment an articulated business strategy and managing large program budgets.

The Change Initiative Manager will also need to be able to quickly assess the health of the portfolio and make recommendations to improve delivery capability.

They will manage end-to-end complex cross-line of business impacting change initiatives in alignment with CNBs Enterprise Change Management Framework.

This includes all phases of program delivery from idea generation, business case development, planning, execution and transition to BAU.

They will challenge/review program status in partnership with business and technology stakeholders to ensure sound risk and issue management throughout the project lifecycle.

Program elements may include areas such as organization structure, processes, operational support and technology.

Role will be instrumental in driving and tracking program activities, negotiating changes in plans and effective communication with all stakeholders and senior management.

Success of program outcomes will be measured by the implementation and fulfillment of a strategy and realization of programs defined benefits and results.Responsible for providing strategic guidance for program implementation, monitoring multiple work plans and budgets, and coordinating partner activities in accordance with the transformation initiative.

The Change Initiative Manager III is expected to have a strong understanding of overall program goals, approaches and partnerships as well as the experience with identifying and improving overall processes / bottlenecks in terms of delivery of the program.

The position will promote collaboration between stakeholders in order to ensure cohesive, unified and efficient program implementation including identifying and prioritizing the project portfolio which will deliver the program.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Works with Business leads to establish program vision and ensure that it is consistently and appropriately communicated to all stakeholders
  • Ensures project outcomes are delivered and aligned with Critical To Quality performance objectives
  • Provides supervision of a project or multiple projects and at times, other project/change managers (in a matrix environment) to achieve a strategic vision
  • Ensures master plans and schedules are followed, developing solutions to program challenges, and directing others for successful completion of project(s) on time and on budget
  • Ensures collaboration and performs liaison activities with upper management and stakeholders involved in the program
  • Ensures governance, alignment, assurance, management, integration, optimization, tracking, finances, infrastructure, planning, and improvement of all workstreams involved in program
  • Effectively manages scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms
  • Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements action to resolve quickly and effectively
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems including ability to identify and facilitate remediation / mitigation of risks, actions, issues and decisions required to move the program and underlying projects forward
  • Provide regular reporting and maintain ongoing communication to senior management, stakeholders and sponsors related to program milestones, issues, risks, decisions and changes
  • Provide guidance and overall management of project managers
  • Develops and provides underlying dashboard and reporting process to ensure adequate program and project health for executive and management
  • Manages underlying program budget and costs
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Program Management Office (PMO) / Change Management functions and/or end-to-end complex change programs independently with multi-department/Line of Business impact
  • Minimum 7 years banking/financial services and/or technology industry experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Highly prefer 9 years of progressive experience in Program Management Office (PMO) / Change Management functions and/or end-to-end complex change programs independently with multi-department/Line of Business impact
  • Use and Application of statistical tools and analyses to model business decisions.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and working with skills with all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Management products and services
  • Experience working with or in a line of business such as commercial, business banking, mid-corp or commercial real estate
  • Experience working in operations, client service and/or product implementations
  • Management of medium to enterprise programs with multiple workstreams across one or more unique departments/groups within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization and be able to adapt communication style and presentations to the audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a smooth flow of activities and to minimize conflict between workstreams.
  • Ability to manage risks associated with the various workstreams involved in the program and to identify ways to mitigate risk
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing direct reports and well as matrixed supervision
  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written, verbal)
  • Working knowledge or PMBOK, Scrum, PMP or other project management certification
  • Working knowledge of business analysis and Lean Six Sigma Tool Kit
  • PreferredExperience working with or in risk managementChange management certification (e.g., Prosci)Project management certification (e.g., PMI)Lean Six Sigma certification
