Casitas Health Care Center a 99-bed skilled nursing facility is looking for a Director of Staff Development to join our team!Requirements: Valid LVN License in good standing; DSD certificate collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, treating all residents with dignity and respect, communicating effectively with all staff, residents and family members.Some of the duties include:Develop and monitor the goals and objectives of the in-service trainings for the facilityInterviewing, hiring and orienting new employeesCreating and maintaining records and reports pertinent to in-service requirementsPartnering with Administrator and DON to meet daily staffing and PPD goalsReviewing and creating daily staffing scheduleAttending meetings and serving on committee’s as requiredEnsuring that all staff attend and participate in in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and blood borne pathogens standardResponsible for providing direct patient care when not performing DSD dutiesRepresenting the department at and participate in top level meetingsImplementing recommendations from the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee as they relate to the educational needs of the facilityMaintaining a positive and calm disposition when communicating with staff, residents, family, visitors, government entities, etc.Following Infection and Control policies and proceduresReporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediatelyProtecting each resident’s file and data with confidentially per HIPAA standardsAbiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords#CambridgehsPer California state mandate, the Covid 19 vaccine is required for this position.
