Community Engagement is seeking a Vice President to serve as a Southern California Market Manager to provide external and internal representation of Corporate Responsibility (CR) initiatives across the region. The Market Manager will engage consumer, business and nonprofit leaders on behalf of the firm; lead strategic market planning and execution; represent key firm initiatives with community partners; and provide leadership and guidance to local market teams and cross-firm business partners. The role will report to the Community Engagement California Regional Director. Job Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit, social justice, consumer advocate, public and private sector stakeholders to support CR and firm-wide objectives Manage grant portfolio and identify prospective partners, community issues, and engagement opportunities aligned with market strategy and CRA goals Provide market intelligence and distill insights from various community engagement approaches to advance firm priorities through products, services, practices and clients Assist with executive market visits, including supporting the development of agenda and coordinating internal and external activities; coordinate internal townhall events with executives and public officials, in partnership with Government Relations Support the creation of a comprehensive regional plan that includes cross-firm resources and expertise to promote community-centered solutions that can address persistent drivers of economic inequality Develop initiatives and collaborative partnerships that advance the firm’s community impact goals in target markets Monitor and manage CRA Community Development Services requirements in applicable assessment areas and all CRA-related reporting requirements Act as strategic advisor to the firm’s lines of business and to nonprofit partners on driving a racial equity agenda that aligns to our CR and firm-wide values Develop and maintain effective relationships with leaders and colleagues across CR; creatively leverage the firm’s assets and tools to drive impact Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: The ideal candidate will have an awareness of the unique social and political issues in communities in Southern California, an ability to make strategic connections between issues and stakeholders, and a keen understanding of the policy and political environment to advance the firm’s priorities. Other qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred Minimum 7-10 years or relevant work experience in community engagement, policy, government program development and implementation, public-private partnerships, or philanthropy Experience with and commitment to advancing issues of racial economic equity and inclusive economic growth Thought leader and subject matter expertise on issues that impact the Firm’s reputation and business operations, including consumer policy, financial inclusion, housing and community development and small business Ability to represent the firm in diverse forums, with community leaders, advocates and influential stakeholders Creative, flexible and collaborative with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrates a high degree of initiative; results-oriented, high level of attention to detail and deadlines Outstanding written and oral communication skills; personal presence to represent the firm in diverse forums and organizational relationships
