Job Description
This position reports to the MAPBU, Operations Director
VMWare Modern Applications Platform BU is looking for a highly motivated Business Operations Manager to join our BU Operations team supporting a fast-growing, emerging business unit. In this role, you will be an active participant and vocal member of a dynamic operations team and will support the delivery and execution of the MAPBU objectives and projects on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Duties may include:
- Operationalize and Drive GM Priority Review meetings
- Strategic planning and financial analysis for Long Range Planning and Annual Operating Plan
- Analyze and triage internal and external requests, collaborating with the appropriate team and driving success
- Program Management support of executive meetings and deliverables
- Ad-Hoc Project Management and Reporting
- Driving our GTM priorities (Sales, Partner, PSO, Enablement) to meet BU targets
You will be a change agent, driving consistency with our business processes touching sales, R&D, marketing, services and other business-related metrics. Additionally, you will work with cross functional teams (finance, pricing, legal) to ensure additional BU requirements are delivered.

Long-term success in the role will be evident through the development of strong cross-functional business relationships plus a demonstrated ability in analyzing data deriving end state outcomes and supporting operational efficiencies to scale for the future.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in an Finance or Operations function, preferably in a high-tech company
- Experience in SAP, SFDC
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and working with large data sets
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
